Conversations with a nurse.

Firstly, finger meet fan blade = PAIN, True unmitigated pain. Blood, Sweat and Tears, not necessarily in the order.

Now for the conversation with nurse,

*ravi enter left, nurse checking emails*

Me: small accident
She: what happened?
Me: Finger in ceiling fan, nail broken, figner possibly, hurts like hell.
She: Talk to Doc.
Me: Why, more Fundamental Research, can’t we just get this done with?
She: No. Show the doc.

(After 2 minutes, and 2 antibiotics + TT shot)

(Assume that u overhead the below conversation without knowing the history, People had a laugh thanks at this yesterday, as there was a colleague there and he heard only the below)

Me: Need to get it dressed.
She: Hold it up.
Me: *shiver* fine, holding it
She: remove the cloth. (the bandage that i had tied on it :) )
She: Show it to me.
Me: fine, (held up the finger)
She: Ravi, hold it straight, how else will the blood flow away from it. It is so swollen. This will probably hurt a bit. (A bit … yeah sure, and Mt. Everest is a pebble)

She pours some Hydrogen Peroxide and the evil smelling brown liquid, and I groan in pain.
She: Ah, so it is clean now, U can go now. Remember to come tomorrow early in the morning and for the rest of the week.
Me: Fine, I will see you tomorrow morning.
She: Remember to keep it dry till then.

*ravi exit left, nurse back to work*
