Whom do you root for?

Whom do you root for?

Spain v France tonight. Match of epic proportions. Winner will face Brazil in the quarters.

Quandary #1, whom to support, when u watch a match u need to support A team, what happens when the playing style of both teams is something that u like? This is not an “end of the world” question, but one that needs to be addressed before the match at least, support France (Henry, Viera, Zidanne) or support the perennial underachievers, who with their young guns (Torres, Cesc, Reyes, Villa, Joaquin, Xavi etc etc etc).

Quandary #2, is it ok to be neutral and watch the match supporting both teams and being happy with the one who wins? I prefer to be a supporter, thats the joy and the agony of football. watching your team clinch a late winner or concede a late goal can make or break your day. Football fans around the world will vouch for that.

--- that was all before the match ---

It was a beautiful match. It was a brilliant exhibition of attacking flair, with defensive strength; the Spanish took a deserved lead, only for the hitherto disappointing Ribiery to conjure up a magical goal, honours even at half time.

Second half, more of the same.

Henry dived. France get a free kick, Viera heads it in, France go one up, and then Zidanne adds one 2 minutes into stoppage time, and silences the critics.

That was not the way it was supposed to end. :(

France v Brazil. I know whom to support in that match.

The Netherlands are out.

The Spaniards are out, speaking of which Nostradamus was prooved wrong. The papers have been harping of a Nostradamus predicstion in 1555, that in the 6th year of 2000, in the 6th month, the Spanish general and his army will conquer this world. Now the Brazilians are part Spanish arent they, Nostradamus may have been speaking about them.
