Day 3 - Snorkeling at Rameshwaram.

When the guide at the Hotel offered that his brother in law could take us snorkelling, I jumped at the offer. 3 hours of fun.

Convincing mom to jump off the boat, into what she could see is chest deep water, but the fact that we were 1km from the shore ... was FUN. Getting her back into the boat after her 10 minute adventure was even more so.. ;)

Some pics. Edward our snorkeling guide was able to pick out a puffer fish and a sea cucumber, while i could get a couple of star fish.

High tides coupled with a rough water movement at the base meant that we could not see very clearly, and the fishes were missing ... but the corals were beautiful. Dad was so enchanted by it, that he has promised a underwater camera before the next trip...

the pics ..

Back to shallow waters.
Mom could not wait to get in.

All in all a day well spent. Mom added a dozen shells to her collection, and the aquarium at home gets parental sanction.
